Gadget Debunked: Apple Walkpod

This retro iPod modification is nothing more than a "visual joke."

As this unique gadget-mod pictured above has been rabidly flying in and out of inboxes across the internet this morning, I thought I would post it for your viewing pleasure, but then quickly dash your dreams of ever owning such an amazing piece of hipster bling.

Unfortunately, as Wired reported today, Faraiq's Apple Walkpod is nothing more than a "visual joke." It is simply a cracked open iPod with a cassette tape pinched within.

Truly unfortunate because I would have loved to have played my Beverly Hills Cop cassette in one. No joke.
